
SANDAKAN: An elderly woman was reportedly splashed with hot water at a restaurant in Taman Sibuga on Friday.
Karamunting Community Development Leader Datuk Chew Kok Woh, who condemned the act, claimed the act was done by the wife of the owner of the restaurant.
“Such action should not be done by any party even if the woman is a beggar,” said Chew.
Chew contacted the police and ordered the Head of the Chinese Community, Kapitan Poon Ret Wing, to search and help the woman.
