THE Election Commission (EC) is convening a special meeting this morning at the Sabah Federal Government Administrative Complex to decide the key dates for the 17th Sabah State Election (PRN).
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 10 am, with a press conference to follow at 11 am. The announcement is expected to confirm important dates, including nomination day, early voting, polling day, and the official campaign period.
The upcoming election follows the dissolution of the 16th Sabah State Legislative Assembly, announced by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor on 6 October — just weeks before the assembly would have completed its full five-year term.
