KOTA KINABALU: Gabungan Rakyat Sabah (GRS) candidate Datuk Norazlinah Arif (pic) says Warisan’s choice of former Kunak assemblyman Datuk Jasa Raudah comes as no surprise, claiming it reflects the party’s tendency to prioritise internal ties over grassroots voices.

She said Warisan’s pick shows favouritism remains entrenched in the party, adding that selecting someone closely linked to the leadership rather than a local candidate mirrors her past experience.

Norazlinah also dismissed Umno vice-president Datuk Muhamad Akmal Saleh’s claim that Barisan Nasional (BN) is gaining support in Kunak, describing it as election rhetoric that does not align with the national political mood.

She said her experience across three election cycles has strengthened her ability to read local sentiment and organise a disciplined campaign team, noting that preparations began as soon as the State Assembly was dissolved.

Norazlinah said slow development remains Kunak’s biggest concern, with residents seeking better public facilities, a proper tourism jetty and infrastructure upgrades that she insists are underway despite their scale causing delays.
