
TAMPARULI: Eleven people were injured in a road accident involving four vehicles along Jalan Tamparuli-Ranau near Kampung Minangkop on Saturday afternoon.
The Fire and Rescue Department received a distress call at 1.33pm and deployed a team from the Tuaran station, which arrived at the scene at 2.10pm.
Firefighters worked to free a man trapped in a Toyota Vios while other victims from the vehicles, including a Toyota Hilux, a Toyota Vigo, and a Suzuki Jeep, were given initial treatment at the scene.
Medical teams from the Fire and Rescue Department, the Health Ministry, and the Civil Defence Force provided assistance before the injured were taken to hospital by emergency vehicles.
The operation, involving 10 firefighters and supported by police and other agencies, was brought under control at 3.30pm and ended shortly before 4pm.
