
SANDAKAN: Eleven individuals aged between 19 and 33 pleaded not guilty in the Magistrate’s Court here on Wednesday to charges of conspiring to offer non-existent online loans here.
The accused, comprising four local men, two local women, and five foreign women, entered their pleas after the charges were read before Magistrate Siti Aisyah Umar Baki.
Local man Syahrizal Mohd Zaini and foreign nationals Suziyanti Siraju and Serli Marthen were charged with committing the offence on May 7 at about 1.45am in a house in Mile 8.

All were charged under Section 120B(1) of the Penal Code for criminal conspiracy and face punishment under Section 420, carrying jail terms of one to ten years, whipping, and a possible fine if convicted.
