SANDAKAN: An estimated six acres of the Elopura recreational forest reserve was destroyed by fire at 9.06am, last Saturday.
Fire-fighting at Sim-Sim hill lasted until late evening.
The incident was earlier reported by people from a nearby temple.

Residents are advised to hold off any hiking activities at the location for the time being to avoid any untoward incident.
