The eMadani programme is officially open for registration and redemption for all eligible Malaysians, which means that you can now claim your RM100 e-credit from four participating e-wallets and apps: Touch ‘n Go (TNG) eWallet, ShopeePay, Setel, and MAE by Maybank2u (MAE).

Along with the RM100 e-credit that was promised, Malaysians can also look forward to the various additional perks that each e-wallet will also offer to entice users to redeem from them! With rebates, vouchers, and rewards points to be gained, here’s a breakdown of the bonuses that you may be entitled to.

Some vouchers that may be of interest to you include Lotus’s RM5 cashback voucher, 7-Eleven RM2 cashback voucher, Lazada RM2 discount voucher, and Tealive RM5 cashback voucher. Additionally, there are cashback offers for selected insurance products that are available on TNG eWallet’s GOinsure platform.

On top of providing the RM100 eMadani credit, Setel is offering up to RM80 cashback as well as exclusive e-vouchers for selected purchases. Here’s a breakdown of the RM80 cashback that you can look forward to:

As for the exclusive e-vouchers, these will be provided to you when you shop and make payments via Setel (either using the eMadani credit or cash from your Setel Wallet). It includes brands and outlets like Mydin, Hero Market, myNEWS, as well as Bask Bear Coffee – and is subject to a minimum spend requirement of RM5 (limited quantity, first-come first-served).

If you’d like to go with Setel for this round of e-wallet credit redemption, tap on the eMadani icon on the Setel app’s home screen. Then, tap on “Claim Now”, and submit your required information.

Unlike other e-wallets that are primarily offering vouchers as extra perks to complement the eMadani credit offered, Maybank is running a special eMadani campaign for Malaysians who redeem with them to win a range of prizes worth up to RM500,000.

By redeeming your eMadani credit and spending it via the MAE app, you’ll earn campaign entries, which then puts you in the running to win prizes like vehicles, electronics, gold, and cash prizes. Here’s the full list of prizes that are up for grabs under Maybank’s eMadani campaign:

To participate in this campaign, you can immediately earn 10x entries by redeeming your RM100 eMadani credit on the MAE app. Subsequently, earn 2x entries for every Scan & Pay transaction made using these redeemed credits (minimum amount RM10) – make sure to check the source of your funds (eMadani credits) when paying for your purchases!

If you’re ready to redeem your eMadani credit with the MAE app, fire up your app and tap on the eMadani tile on the home screen. Just like all the other e-wallets, go ahead and fill in your required particulars, then click on “Submit”.

***

Remember, the redemption of the RM100 eMadani credit can only be done between today until 20 February 2024, but you have until 29 February 2024 to utilise it; any remaining unused e-credit will be forfeited after that.

To be eligible for the eMadani initative, you must be a Malaysian citizen aged 21 years old and above (as of 1 January 2023). On top of that, you must either be a recipient of the Rahmah Cash Aid (as of 7 November 2023), or are earning an annual income of RM100,000 and below (based on the Inland Revenue Board’s record as of 15 July 2023). You also must not have redeemed a similar perk under the previous eBeliaRahmah e-credit programme.

Note as well that the eMadani credit is intended for offline purchases and in-store payments. It cannot be used for transactions like peer-to-peer transfers, cashouts, online bill payments, online telco payments, and parking and toll payments – just to name a few.

Additionally, the government has warned the public of scammers who may take advantage of the eMadani initiative to swindle unsuspecting individuals of their money by offering to cash it out for them. The government has also said that it will take stern action against any eMadani credit recipients who accept such offers, including “blocking accounts involved and rescinding/stripping [their] credit rights”, so be careful not to fall for these!
