Emergency services at scene of serious workplace incident in Co Down

Emergency services are attending the scene of a serious workplace incident in Co Down.

Police said the Ballygowan Road in Crossnacreevy had been closed while emergency services operated.

The Health and Safety Executive Northern Ireland said its inspectors are on site.

“HSENI is aware of an incident at a workplace in the Crossnacreevy area and inspectors are on site making inquiries into the circumstances,” they said.

“We are currently liaising with the emergency services and other relevant agencies.”
