Emergency services respond after multiple people in difficulty at Shoreham-by-Sea

• Emergency services were called to Shoreham Fort in West Sussex on Tuesday afternoon following reports of four people in difficulty in the water.

• The South East Coast Ambulance Service dispatched multiple resources, including two air ambulances, with one road ambulance seen leaving under police escort.
• Sussex Police closed the A259 Brighton Road in both directions between New Road and Kingston Lane due to the ongoing incident.
• Authorities have urged the public to stay clear of the area while emergency responders remain at the scene.
