Emmerdale star Emma Atkins makes rare admission about son after ‘exhausting’ birth scene

Emmerdale star Emma Atkins made a rare admission about her son as she lifted the lid on “exhausting” recent filming days.

Atkins, who has played Charity Dingle on the soap since 2000, discussed her character’s recent on-screen birth on This Morning on Wednesday (13 May).

“It was fun, but it was exhausting! I had to make these birth noises, and I was thinking, is it realistic?” she said, before recalling her own birthing experience in 2015.

“Because when I was having Albert, it all went out the window.”
