EMSC: Magnitude 6.1 earthquake hits offshore Coquimbo, Chile

BRUSSELS, Feb 5 — A Magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck offshore the Chilean city of Coquimbo yesterday, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) said.

The quake was 73 kilometres below the earth’s surface, EMSC said. — Reuters
