KOTA BELUD: Households here no longer have to depend on a decades-old 10-Km gravity water system that has suffered from inadequate maintenance.

Mah Sing Foundation (MSF) and Hopes Malaysia carried out phase one of an effort to tackle the water crisis faced by the 323 villagers of Kampung Talungan.

The decaying and damaged pipelines barely transported any water to homes and over 70 families had to struggle daily for the meagre amount that reaches their homes.

The influx of new residents and the impact of climate change have further diminished the community’s water source.
