Liverpool summer signing Wataru Endo has admitted he has mixed emotions about the Asia Cup.
The midfielder is ready to go as his nation Japan prepares for the tournament, which is taking place in Qatar.
While the 30-year-old loves to play for his nation, he also knows that he will be missing game time in the Premier League.
The veteran, who arrived in the summer, may have concerns about losing his place in the team.
He told liverpoolfc.com: "Yes, a little bit actually. But you know I need to play for my national team as well.
"But I think the last few games I've played for this club, I have shown why I am here, so I go to Qatar, hopefully get a good result and then come back here."
