KOTA KINABALU: Three professional engineering bodies in Sabah have partnered with the Energy Commission of Sabah (ECos) to enhance electrical safety, promote energy efficiency, and strengthen local technical expertise.

The collaboration involves the Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (Acem) Sabah, the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM) Sabah Branch, and Persatuan Elektrik Sabah. Representatives from all parties met with ECos at its Shell Plaza office on Friday.

Led by Acem Immediate Past President Chong Chew Fan, the engagement covered key initiatives such as statewide awareness roadshows, updated safety and efficiency guidelines, a technical expert panel, and skills training for engineers and electricians.
