
Kota Kinabalu:Insights on managing chronic diseases, including the importance of regular check-ups and lifestyle modification were among topics discussed during a health talk organised by the Sabah Engineers Association.
The panellists included pharmacists and dieticians from Alpro Pharmacy who were invited to give talks, recently.
Among them are Rebecca Lim Swee Huang, Kimberly Ong Sheung Yiing, Edna Soo Ying Jing and Shirley Tan Siew Li with the topics of “Salty and Sweet: The Bittersweet Relationship between Hypertension and Diabetes”, “The 3 Highs of Your Life”, and “Safe Medication Disposal”.
Rebecca shared valuable insights on managing these chronic diseases, including the importance of regular check-ups and lifestyle modification.
She said impact of improper medication disposal on the environment and how Alpro Pharmacy offers a safe and convenient approach to dispose unused or expired medications.
Kimberly provided practical tips on healthy eating choices, highlighting the importance of consuming whole foods and avoiding processed snacks and sugary drinks.
The talk concluded with a crucial message about safe medication disposal.
