  • The 62-year-old retired teacher aims to raise £350,000 from the sale of his property in northern England to attend what will be his tenth World Cup following the national team.
  • Milne, who lives in Thailand and is known for carrying a replica World Cup trophy, told The Mirror he plans to attend the entire tournament, starting his seven-week trip on 3 June.
  • His itinerary includes watching England's group stage matches against Croatia in Dallas, Ghana in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and Panama in New Jersey.
  • The substantial travel costs are compounded by criticism directed at Fifa over its ticket pricing strategy, which previously led to fan groups accusing the organisation of a “monumental betrayal”.
