England manager Gareth Southgate has once again defended his squad selections.
The Three Lions head coach spoke about his choice to recall Aston Villa's Ollie Watkins to the England squad.
Watkins has seven goals in 11 games so far this term, including two hat-tricks.
England take on Australia in a friendly and Italy in a Euro 2024 qualifier in October.
Southgate told reporters: Ollie has started the season well. He has hit a bit of scoring form over the past couple of weeks.
You have to be careful with that because you can't just go on recent bias when you're looking at selection. He is in good form and coming in on a high.
He's been with us before, we know his character, his personality. He's a good guy around the group. His team are playing well, he is playing for a team who are really well coached and the team are in a good moment."
