LAHAD DATU: Science, Technology and Innovation Ministry (Mosti) is implementing various programmes and initiatives based on Science, Technology and Innovation Policy Framework (DSTIN) to strengthen and enhance the role of Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) as a foundation for supporting the country’s economic growth.
Mosti Deputy Minister Datuk Mohd Yusof Apdal said Mosti is also serious about bringing science to the community.
He said efforts included bringing experiences of exploration and learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) to local communities, to increase interest, understanding and skills in these fields.
“This agenda aims to nurture potential and produce more knowledgeable individuals in the STI field, which is crucial for realising the country’s development towards a high-tech future,” he said at the opening of the Borneo Science Expedition 2024 (KSB 2024) here.
