My grandchildren after one week of Eid al-Fitr celebrations drinking lemon iced tea syrup or milo iced alongside with Malay traditional dishes like lemang and ketupat with rendang, they wanted a change. So, in between fulfilling Eid invitation to homes of our relatives and friends in the Federal Territory and Selangor, on the suggestion of my eldest son, Farouq, and his wife Nadja, we decided to drop-by at Tamarind Square Cyberjaya for ChaTraMue Thai Tea.
ChaTraMue Thai Tea Mix is Thailand's original, widely popular tea brand known for producing aromatic, rich, and authentic Thai milk tea, available both red (original) and green tea varieties. The blend consists of Assam tea leaves, sugar, and spices, best served by steeping, straining and adding condensed milk. I like Thai Tea Extra Gold: a more premium, aromatic blend, composed of 95% tea and 4% sugar. The desserts are baked cakes, cookies & pastries. (www.cha-thai.com>tamarind-square-cyberjaya<)

I understand the beginning of ChaTraMue (Number One Brand Thai Tea) as Thailand is a tropical country like Malaysia and most of ASEAN counties. The shop had imported red tea to make Thai Milk Tea and Thai Black Tea both served with ice to meet the needs of Thai people for cool refreshing beverages.

Customers, especially Muslims are happy that ChaTraMue has maintained its legacy by balancing its traditional taste with modern food safety standards, including GMP Codex & Halal certification. My family, particularly grandchildren discovered ChaTraMue is more than just a beverage brand; it is the real definitive taste of Thai iced tea, and a living piece of Thai culinary history that has successfully moved from a local street-side favorite stall to a respected global brand.
I impressed upon my grandchildren that “The brand was founded on the insight that the hot, high temperature of tropical, humid and intense heatwave climate of Thailand needed a refreshing, iced drink rather than traditional hot tea. Evidently, beyond Thailand, ChaTraMue has expanded into multiple counties (including Malaysia, Singapore, and Canada), functioning as a 'soft power' that shares Thai culture and traditional beverages internationally.”
