I am delighted to receive two mugs in conjunction with the Campaign for a Healthy Lifestyle from entrepreneur Ibs po, the Founder & CEO of the E.A.T. Farm Institute, a localized training hub located in Sitio Buenakapok, Barangay Lanzones (near Culiana), in Zamboanga City & Port of Western Mindanao, in the Philippines. A healthy lifestyle in Zamboanga is vital for preventing non-communicable diseases (like diabetes and heart conditions) and coping with the city's fast-paced, vibrant life. In embracing wellness boosts local farmers and workforce productivity, strengthens community resilience, and also celebrates Zamboanga's rich, diverse cultural heritage. So, adopting a balanced diet and exercising actively shields residents from obesity & severe illness.
I have known Ibs po, for many years as a prominent leader of organic farming and is a loud voice for sustainable agricultural initiatives. He is recognized locally for engineering self-sufficient rainwater catchment systems to help small-scale crops survive extreme dry spells and El Nino weather cycles. He works closely with local farming co-operatives, pushing the local government units (LGUs) to invest in long-term rainwater storage infrastructure and to reduce middleman exploitation to secure direct “farm-to-table” revenue for small farmers. His farm has survive the prolonged dry spell. He said, “If other farms are to adopt the water catchment he developed, they would no longer wait for water lorries to deliver water for temporary relief during a dry spell.”

I have visited the E.A.T. Farm Institute - recognized in the region as Earthsoul Agri Techo Farm Institute, Inc. - holds significant importance in Zamboanga City as a vital center for sustainable agriculture, technology integration, and food security. True to its name (Agri Tehno), the Institute bridges the real gap between traditional organic farming and tech-driven agricultural methods. It teaches farmers how to improve crop yields without relying on any chemical. (eatfarm101@gmail.com; m.facebook.com)

I'm amazed E.A.T operates as a localized training center where small-scale farmers learned techniques to boost their financial independence. By teaching business skills alongside farming, it equips growers to bypass exploitive middleman networks, and they establish profitable farm-to-table supply chains.
