Budding entrepreneurs from Sangrur and Mansa districts visited the School of Business Studies (SBS) and NIDHI-Technology Business Incubator (TBI) at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) here to seek their guidance.

The visitors comprised of a couple and their son from Chattha village in Sangrur and an entrepreneur from Biroke village in Mansa.

The purpose of the visit was to seek technical and marketing assistance to strengthen their ventures and enhance the market potential of their products.

SBS director Ramandeep Singh appreciated their efforts in building grassroots enterprises and emphasised the importance of structured guidance in scaling rural businesses sustainably.

The visit was facilitated by Mandeep Singh, in-charge, Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Kheri, Sangrur. He referred the trainees to NIDHI-TBI for advanced technical support and marketing guidance.

During an interaction with PAU officials, the entrepreneurs from Sangrur showcased a range of homemade pickles.

The visitor from Mansa presented millet-based products and edible oil items.

The NIDHI-TBI team evaluated their products and provided insights on improving quality, packaging, branding and compliance with food safety standards.

They guided the entrepreneurs on key aspects, such as pricing strategies, identification of suitable markets, and participation in exhibitions and fairs to expand reach. They also highlighted the growing demand for traditional and millet-based products in health-conscious markets, and encouraged the entrepreneurs to capitalise on the trend.

Gurinder Singh, Chief Executive Officer (CEO), NIDHI-TBI, emphasised the importance of attractive packaging, clear labeling and storytelling to build consumer trust and brand identity.

Sameer Gautam, business manager, NIDHI-TBI, guided them on leveraging digital platforms and social media to enhance product visibility and customer engagement.

The entrepreneurs expressed gratitude to the PAU teams for their guidance and support. They said the session helped them gain clarity on improving their business operations and scaling their ventures.
