KUALA LUMPUR: The EPF and Immigration Department have integrated their systems to securely share data on PLKS, Employment Passes and other valid work permits, supporting mandatory EPF contributions for foreign workers.

The collaboration, formalised in Putrajaya, aims to improve verification, strengthen enforcement and streamline registration.

So far, 1.3 million workers from 60,000 employers have contributed, though some employers still fail to comply.

EPF COO Sazaliza Zainuddin said the partnership boosts transparency and ensures national policies are carried out effectively.
