EPF seeking to contact members aged 100 and over who haven’t withdrawn funds

PETALING JAYA – Know anyone above 100 years old and contributing to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF)?

In a recent post on its Facebook page, the EPF said it was working to contact members aged 100 and above who had not withdrawn their contributions yet.

“Checks can be made using their identification card or EPF membership numbers,” read the post.

Those concerned can also check unclaimed deposits and obtain more information here

If claims are not made before December 31, the money will be transferred to Unclaimed Money Management (BWTD) under the Finance Ministry.

Any claim made after the transfer must be submitted to BWTD.

Members or their next of kin can contact the EPF Contact Management Centre at 03-89226000 to obtain further information if their records are found in the search.

Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan had earlier said there was about RM11 billion in unclaimed money belonging to the public as of March this year. – The Vibes, September 1, 2023
