The Trump administration again finds itself caught up in the Jeffrey Epstein saga after Democrats on the House Oversight Committee released emails from the late convicted sex offender’s estate that mentioned President Donald Trump.
In one of the messages, the disgraced financier tells longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell that Trump spent “hours” at his house with one of Epstein’s victims and in another states that he “knew about the girls.”
The latest tranche of private emails and text messages reveal that the commander-in-chief was a regular topic of discussion a Epstein frequently turned to close Trump ally Steve Bannon, journalist Michael Wolff, and others as his reputation tanked prior to his death in a New York jail cell in August 2019.
Several messages between Bannon and Epstein included disparaging remarks about Trump, who was called the “worst negotiator in human history” in one of them.
The president – who was friends with Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s before the two fell out, according to him – has not been accused of any wrongdoing and has consistently denied knowledge of Epstein’s sex crimes.
The House of Representatives will vote next week on whether to compel the Justice Department to publish all of its unclassified files on Epstein.

Everything you need to know about the latest Epstein files controversy
09:15 , Joe Sommerlad- Newly-released emails obtained by the House Oversight Committee from the estate of the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have once more placed President Donald Trump under intense scrutiny.
- In one of the messages, Epstein tells longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell that Trump “spent hours” at his home with one of the sex trafficker’s victims. In others, the president is described in highly unflattering terms by Epstein.
- Although the president has not been accused of any wrongdoing and has denied prior knowledge of Epstein’s crimes, the two men were friends in New York and Florida and the 1990s and early 2000s, an association Trump says ended when he kicked Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago for poaching his staff.
- The White House and the president’s conservative allies have insisted the email release is a Democrat “hoax” and “false narrative” but Trump is under growing pressure to release the Justice Department’s files on Epstein.
- The House of Representatives is set to hold a floor vote on the issue next week.

‘I guess I’m pretty high profile’: Lauren Boebert defends Trump’s ‘weird’ decision to hold Epstein crisis talks in Situation Room
07:30 , Brendan RasciusTop officials in President Donald Trump’s administration met with Rep. Lauren Boebert in the White House Situation Room on Wednesday morning to discuss a vote on releasing documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, according to multiple reports.
Afterwards, the Colorado Republican defended the unusual meeting location, telling NOTUS, “I guess I’m pretty high profile.”
During the meeting, officials from the White House and Justice Department attempted to convince Boebert to remove her name from a discharge petition which sought to force a vote on releasing the Epstein files, according to ABC News.
At the time, the petition had 217 signatures — just one shy of the 218 needed to go into effect. Boebert was one of the few Republicans to sign on to the measure. Later in the day, Rep. Adelita Grijalva, an Arizona Democrat, provided the extra signature after she was finally sworn into office by House Speaker Mike Johnson, following weeks of delays.

How Trump could still prevent release of Epstein files
07:00 , James C. ReynoldsA significant cache of Jeffrey Epstein’s email exchanges was released on Wednesday, piling yet more pressure on the Trump administration for greater transparency and widening a growing rift in MAGA’s base.
Three exchanges were initially shared by Democrats on the House Oversight Committee, containing correspondence between the financier, his associate Ghislaine Maxwell, and the journalist Michael Wolff. In one, Epstein alleged that Trump “knew about the girls as he asked Ghislaine to stop.”
Subsequently, House Republicans released a colossal body of emails attributed to Epstein in an effort to counter what they said was a Democratic effort to “cherry-pick documents.” White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said the emails prove “absolutely nothing other than the fact that President Trump did nothing wrong.”
The release of the documents has amplified calls to release the so-called Epstein files. A petition forcing a vote on the release of more files gathered enough signatures to move forward on Wednesday. Still, skepticism remains around what it could realistically produce

“I think the president’s personal involvement in trying to pressure and threaten Republican members of Congress to remove themselves from the discharge petition yesterday, should really raise the question with Americans across the country as to why,” Ansari told MSNBC Thursday. “This is a cover up.”

The NYT also reported that Trump tried to call Representative Nancy Mace, a South Carolina Republican who signed the petition.
Boebert and Mace deny that the White House pressured or threatened them.
Epstein says he lost a $10K bet to Trump over ex-Marla Maples and sent a truck of baby food as payment, emails show
06:00 , Brendan RasciusJeffrey Epstein claimed he lost a $10,000 bet with President Donald Trump when his ex-wife Marla Maples became pregnant, newly released emails show.
The email exchange was among the thousands of Epstein-related documents published on Wednesday by the House Oversight Committee, many of which refer to Trump.
During a 2016 conversation with author Deepak Chopra, which took place just months before Trump’s first election win, Epstein revealed the bizarre pregnancy-related wager.
Chopra emailed Epstein on July 29 that year seeking to arrange a FaceTime or Skype call with the convicted sex offender, who died in prison in 2019.

‘No one has threatened me’: MAGA firebrand and rape survivor Nancy Mace holds firm that Epstein files must be released
05:30 , Eric GarciaRep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) pushed back on allegations that President Donald Trump had attempted to pressure her against signing a discharge petition in the House of Representatives to force a vote to release files related to Jeffrey Epstein.
Mace spoke to The Independent exclusively as she headed to the House floor after a discharge petition proposed by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) reached the requisite 218 signatures Wednesday after Speaker Mike Johnson swore in Rep. Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.).
Mace said she had not spoken to Trump since Friday.
“I've been traveling, and I had a big press conference yesterday, so he and I've been on the road, but he and I've been playing phone tag,” she said.
She is one of three Republican women who joined the discharge petition alongside Reps. Lauren Boebert of Colorado and Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia. Boebert was summoned to the White House Wednesday for what was reportedly a crisis meeting in the super-secure Situation Room to try and get her to remove her name from the petition.

Will Trump sign a bill to release the Epstein files?
03:40 , Rachel DobkinEven if the House and the Senate pass a bill to force the Justice Department to release all files related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, it still has to go through President Donald Trump.
It’s highly unlikely that Trump will sign such a bill given that his administration already has the power to release the files and his opposition to House members’ push to compel the DOJ to release them.
On Wednesday, Trump wrote on Truth Social, “The Democrats are trying to bring up the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax again because they’ll do anything at all to deflect on how badly they’ve done on the Shutdown, and so many other subjects. Only a very bad, or stupid, Republican would fall into that trap.”
Vance flatters Trump and blames Biden for affordability crisis in Fox News interview which avoids any mention of Epstein
03:19 , Josh MarcusVice President JD Vance in a Fox News interview on Thursday blamed the Biden administration and undocumented immigrants for ongoing issues with the economy, which has struggled with continued inflation and record-low rates of first-time home buyers.
During the sit-down with Sean Hannity, Vance was not asked any questions about the ongoing Jeffrey Epstein scandal plaguing the White House.
Instead, Vance focused on how the U.S. had “inherited this terrible inflation crisis from the Biden administration” and said it would take more time for the full impact of the Trump economic agenda to kick in, comparing the GOP’s moves so far to trees that will slowly begin bearing fruit.
"A lot of young people are saying, 'Housing is way too expensive,’” Vance said. “Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who are taking houses that ought, by right, go to American citizens...We're also getting all of those illegal aliens out of our country and you’re already see it start to pay some dividends.”

White House bashed The View co-host who spoke out about the Epstein controversy
02:40 , Rachel DobkinThe White House has bashed The View co-host Ana Navarro, who spoke out about the ongoing controversy surrounding the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Earlier Thursday, Navarro said, “I don't know why we're getting sucked up into a political partisan fight about this. This is about right and wrong.”
"We have failed the victims of Jeffrey Epstein," she said. "We as a country, our legal system, our institutions, our leaders, we've failed those victims time and time again."
The Trump administration has been criticized for its handling of government files related to Epstein.
In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, White House Deputy Press Secretary Abigail Jackson said, “Like all TDS liberals, Ana only cares about the Epstein files because she thinks she can weaponize it against President Trump.”
TDS appears to mean Trump Derangement Syndrome.
"Liberal outlets are desperately trying to use this Democrat distraction to talk about anything other than Democrats getting utterly defeated by President Trump in the [government] shutdown fight," Jackson added.

“I’ve never understood the role of legislative officials in protecting pedophiles. I didn't think that was part of the job criteria, so it's been very confusing to me,” Williams told CNN Thursday night. “But if some of them are finally arriving at some moral clarity, that's a good thing. He said of the DOJ: “I trust them in terms of having the confidence that they’ll get as much information out there as possible in a way that protects the rights of the victims.”

00:00 , Rachel DobkinThe House will soon vote on a bill to compel the Justice Department to release all files and communications related to the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Here's everything you need to know about the latest Epstein files controversy
Thursday 13 November 2025 22:40 , Rachel Dobkin- Newly-released emails from the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein have opened President Donald Trump up to scrutiny once more.
- While the president has not been formally accused of any wrongdoing related to Epstein’s crimes, his relationship with the disgraced financier, which ended decades ago, has been in the spotlight.
- Democrats on the House Oversight Committee have shared some of the Epstein emails on social media, which mention Trump. In one of the emails, Epstein tells longtime associate Ghislaine Maxwell that Trump “spent hours” at his house with one of the sex offender’s victims.
- The president and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt have both called the latest tranche a “hoax.”
Ghislaine Maxwell enjoys a bathroom break that fellow inmates in her Texas Club Fed prison don’t get
Thursday 13 November 2025 22:40 , Rhian LubinGhislaine Maxwell, Jeffrey Epstein’s sex-trafficking co-conspirator, is reportedly receiving “special privileges” in prison not extended to her fellow inmates.
While Maxwell’s inmates at the cushy Texas prison have to get by with two rolls of toilet paper per week, the disgraced British socialite “is given as much toilet paper as she needs,” according to CNN, which cited sources familiar with her life behind bars.
She was transferred to the low-security federal prison camp in Bryan — commonly referred to as a ‘Club Fed’ incarceration — in August after complying with Justice Department officials who interviewed her following political and public pressure on the Trump administration.
The scandal has reared its head again this week after the House Oversight Committee dropped more than 20,000 documents, containing emails from Epstein, Maxwell and other associates, which mentioned President Donald Trump. He has not been accused of any wrongdoing.
