LAHAD DATU: The Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) seized RM4,137,474 worth of illicit cigarettes and tobacco following a raid on an unnumbered two-storey building in Jalan Tamoi Baru, here, on Thursday.
Esscom commander Datuk Victor Sanjos in a statement Friday said the agency initiated the raid following a public tip-off.
Among the items seized in the raid were 3,178,120 sticks of white cigarettes and kretek cigarettes as well as 400 small packages of tobacco.
