Estonia's retail sales growth slowed in April after accelerating in the previous month, data from Statistics Estonia showed on Thursday.
The volume of retail sales rose 1.6% year-on-year in April, slowing sharply from growth of 6.9% in March and 4.8% in February.
Annual growth in sales of non-food products, excluding fuel, eased to 1.4% from 10.1% in March. Sales of automotive fuel in specialised stores also slowed, rising 2.7% after surging 14.8% a month earlier.
Meanwhile, sales of food, beverages and tobacco continued to decline, falling 0.9%.
On a monthly basis, retail sales fell 3.5%, reversing part of March’s 14.5% rebound.
