MANILA, Philippines — Sen. Jinggoy Estrada will be committed to the New Quezon City Jail in Payatas, the clerk of court of the Sandiganbayan’s Fifth Division said.
Earlier on Monday, the court ordered the arrest of Estrada and four others including former Public Works secretary Manuel Bonoan for plunder.
Estrada surrendered to a team of Criminal Investigation and Detection Group that went to the Senate to arrest him.
The three others ordered arrested by the anti-graft court were former Department of Public Works and Highways-National Capital Region officials Denryl Caesar Cortuna, Manny Bulusan, and Arturo Gonzales Jr.
