Leeds United midfielder Ethan Ampadu has rebuilt his career after early struggles.

The youngster was touted as one of the most promising talents to emerge from the Chelsea academy.

Several years later, the now 23-year-old has taken his time to find his feet, but is shining in the Championship and wearing the captain's armband.

I don't know about ordering," Ampadu stated of his experience, despite being young.

Leadership isn't something I've worked on or spoken about trying to do. I understand there's a bigger responsibility in wearing the [captain's] armband, it's a massive honor.

But for me I'm just trying to play the same game.

You try to help the team win whichever way you can. Maybe that's just one of the ways I try to do so."
