Installing an outdoor security camera isn’t always simple. Drilling holes for mounts and running power cables, or ensuring the location is suitable for solar charging, adds complexity, while for renters it can be a non-starter.
Eufy claims to have a solution with its new window camera E10. The budget camera costs £69.99 and plugs into a wall socket inside your home and sticks to a window to capture a view of the outside.
This will appeal to anyone who has struggled to get good security footage from a camera sitting on a windowsill, since the E10’s window mount should cut down significantly on reflections and glare.
The camera records at 2.5K resolution (2,688px x 1,520px) and has a 125-degree field of view, while the lens can be manually tilted up and down by 25 degrees. There’s also the option for colour night vision without the assistance of a spotlight, dual-band wifi and support for Alexa and Google Assistant.

And since this is a mains-powered security camera, it can be set to record 24/7. This is unlike most outdoor cameras, where continuous recording would quickly drain the battery. For that, you’ll need to install your own microSD card or connect the E10 to one of Eufy’s security camera hubs, like the HomeBase S380. Using the latter also unlocks a 24/7 snapshot function.
Tool-free installation is also a major selling point, especially for renters, since the E10’s window mount uses a peel-off adhesive pad to stick to any window. The camera can be stuck to any glass surface, such as a window, a door or a cupboard.
There’s also AI-powered motion detection to help the camera tell the difference between humans, vehicles and pets, a pre-roll function where a few seconds of footage is saved from before motion is detected, and optional cloud video storage available with a subscription.
This is an interesting camera from Eufy, especially given the price. It gives homeowners and renters another way to monitor the outside of their property, without installing a conventional outdoor camera or dealing with the reflections usually created when recording through a window.
