
- The Czech Republic has emerged as Europe's fastest-growing travel destination, recording an 18 per cent year-on-year increase in air travel bookings between May 2025 and April 2026.
- Iceland and Denmark followed with 11 per cent and 8 per cent growth respectively, suggesting a trend towards culturally rich city breaks and nature-focused travel over traditional tourism hotspots.
- Spain continues to be the most booked and searched destination in Europe, with Italy, France, the UK, and Germany also featuring prominently among the most booked countries.
- Overall, European passenger traffic saw a 2.3 per cent increase, and hotel occupancy rose by 2 per cent, with the UK reaching the highest occupancy rate at 87 per cent in July 2025.
- The majority of visitors to Europe originated from the US, while Japan represented the fastest-growing market, with a 19 per cent rise in bookings.
