
The eurozone unemployment rate remained unchanged in April, data from Eurostat revealed Monday.
The jobless rate stood at 6.3%, unchanged from March as well as with April 2025.
The rate was expected to remain stable at March's initially estimated figure of 6.2%.
The number of people out of work decreased 84,000 from the prior month to 11.075 million. Compared to last year, unemployment increased 45,000.
The youth unemployment rate declined to 14.7% in April from 15.1% in March. The number of jobless people fell by 50,000 from March.
Data showed that the EU unemployment rate was also unchanged at 6.0% in April. Unemployment decreased by 137,000 from March.
