Evanescence is coming back to Malaysia, and this time, Kuala Lumpur is the only Southeast Asian stop on their 2026 world tour. 14 years is a long time to wait. But for Malaysian fans of Evanescence, that wait is finally over.
The Grammy Award-winning American rock band has confirmed that they will be performing in Kuala Lumpur on 28 November 2026, making Malaysia the sole Southeast Asian stop on their upcoming world tour. The concert will be held at the National Hockey Stadium, with the show kicking off at 8 PM MYT.
Rumours had been swirling for weeks before the official announcement, after eagle-eyed fans spotted a large billboard in Bukit Bintang bearing a stylised letter ‘E’ that bore a striking resemblance to the band’s iconic logo. The image spread quickly across social media, which sent the local fanbase into a frenzy of speculation. As it turns out, their instincts were right.

Frontwoman Amy Lee put all doubt to rest herself, appearing in a video posted to the band’s official Instagram account to deliver the news directly. “We have just booked a very special show and I’ve seen some rumours float around online,” she said. “I’m here to tell you they are true, we are coming for one night only to play Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 28 November.”
The upcoming performance will mark the band’s first appearance in Malaysia since 23 February 2012, making this a particularly significant moment for fans who have waited over a decade for their return.

The tour itself spans a sweeping international run across North America, the UK, and Europe, with Kuala Lumpur serving as the grand finale stop in the region. Whether a special guest will open the Malaysian show remains to be announced; support acts have been confirmed for select dates on the Western leg of the tour, but no equivalent announcement has been made for the KL date as yet.
Tickets go on sale on 8 May at 10 AM MYT through GoLive Asia’s official website and mobile app. The waiting room opens at 9.30 AM MYT, half an hour before the general sale begins, so fans are advised to get in early. Ticket categories and pricing have not yet been revealed, but do note that purchases are capped at six tickets per transaction.
