Manchester United defender Jonny Evans is yet to hear about next season.

The veteran is off contract at the end of next month.

Evans was a late substitute in yesterday's FA Cup final win against Manchester City.

Asked about new contract talks, Evans said: "I don't know. We'll see over the next couple of weeks, see what the club says."

Evans was also asked if the Cup triumph can be a starting point for the club's revival and he replied: I hope so.

He's been amazing for me this season, bringing me back in.

I've only got good things to say about him and over the last month I think he's showing incredible tactical flexibility."

Asked directly if he wants manager Erik ten Hag to stay, Evans said: He's been amazing for me and I can only thank him for that and I have a good relationship with him.

So I hope he stays."
