The powerbrokers of 777 Partners have received a new boost in their Everton takeover bid.
The Times says Josh Wander and Steve Pask, the founders of the sports investment firm, have been approved by the Football Association to become directors of the club should the takeover be finalised.
777 are in advanced negotiations with Farhad Moshiri to buy his majority share.
There have been some concern about the source of funding, which is also being currently clarified.
