Everton boss Sean Dyche admits he's seeking to stabilise the club.

Dyche concedes it's been a battle given the club's state of flux over the past year.

He said, The shifting sands of any management role at any club, there are so many twists and turns in the life of a football club, so you are always meaning shifting sands.

To be honest, the idea is to get them to shift less, if truth be known, so once the pillars of the club are organised and all in a good place, then it becomes a lot more clarified about the team.

There have been that many different views and thoughts, trading of players ins and outs, that it got to a point where it was confused, and part of my role is to help unravel that and try to win games, of course.

But unravel all the other stuff, the financial stuff, player contracts working loosely with Kev (director of football Kevin Thelwell), future signings, development players working closely with the older players to find that better bond both on the pitch and as a business model...

It sounds like nirvana but it's not easy bringing all those things together with all the noise outside of the club. It's not that easy, but that's the job.

As long as I know the reality of any job to manage, I'm all right with that. It's when the goal-posts move that's when it gets tricky.

But as long as everyone stays focused on 'this is where it's at, this is what we need to do, and this is how we get there', then I am all right with that no matter what comes my way."
