Everton captain James Tarkowski expects a response from fans today against Manchester United.
The match will be the first since Everton's 10-point penalty handed down by the Premier League for failing profit and sustainability laws.
Tarkowski said, It is good for us being at Goodison, that is for sure. One thing it definitely has seemed to have done over the last week or so is bring everyone together.
"There has, at times since I have been here, felt a bit of a separation between players, fans, club, but the way it has felt in the last week, from speaking to people and being around it, I think it has brought everyone together a little bit so maybe that is the silver lining of this situation.
The club feels like that, especially the fans. You're either with us or you're against us. It's nice to have that feeling inside your group sometimes, but we just want to win points. The backing of the fans has always been incredible - even when we were in a shocking position in the table last year they really stuck by us. This is another difficult time and we know they will be the same again."
