Everton's proposed takeover is set to go ahead in the coming weeks and months.

The Premier League giants are on the verge of being purchased by 777 Partners.

Per The Mirror, the 550 million deal is very much on track, contrary to other reports in England that suggested it was close to collapse.

The club's owner Farhad Moshiri wants to sell, while the fans also hope to get a new investor on board.

The Toffees have spent 750 million on players since Moshiri took charge in 2016, with no reward for that investment.

777 Partners is an American private investment company that does not have the best of reputations either.

The group has been accused by other club supporters, such as Hertha Berlin and Standard Liege, of doing a poor job after buying their teams.
