Everton captain James Tarkowski says they can't dwell on defeat at Wolves.

The Toffees were thoroughly beaten 3-0 on Saturday.

Tarkowski said: It was a tough day at the office. I thought we played alright in the first half. We made a couple of good chances that we didn't take.

We're conceding a couple of poor goals at the minute. The second goal was from them we got opened up, but the others were coming from us defending the first ball from a corner. The ball goes out and then the second cross comes in and we don't defend well.

I think Dom (Calvert-Lewin) had a few chances in the first half, where if he hits the target, they go in. They were good opportunities, but we just weren't at it today. We just weren't. These days come, so we'll look at it, review it, and then move on.

Today, it just looked like one step too far. I'm not saying that's accepting it's not at all. We have fans who pay money to come to watch us and expect us to give it our all, which I think we do, to be fair. We just didn't perform well.

If you're off it, you'll get done, like we did today. But also, in the two games before this, we've actually played really well against two top teams and probably should've come out of either of those games with a point or more.

The results are there to be looked at and show we need to improve, but the performance levels have been pretty good overall."
