Everton face legal action from three clubs after the Premier League found them guilty of breaching 'profit and sustainability' laws.

Everton have been handed a 10 point penalty by an independent commission for their actions.

The Daily Mail says Leicester City, Burnley and Leeds United now plan to sue Everton after each were relegated in recent seasons.

They could seek as much as 300m in damages - with each club estimating they lost around 100m from being relegated to the Championship.

It's also said that all three clubs contacted 777 Partners about their intentions, with the investment company on the brink of buying Everton.

Leeds and Leicester were both relegated last season, with Everton beating the drop by two points. Burnley went down in the 2021/22 season, after they finished 18th, four points below Everton.
