Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford admits he's unsure what to expect from Manchester City on Wednesday.
City return to Premier League action having just been crowned Club World Cup champions.
Pickford said: Manchester City are a top team. You don't win five trophies in a year for no reason. They're well-trained, they're constantly playing three games in a week. They're always ready.
It's about us being ready, what challenges are they going to come up with for us, and we've got to be ready for that. That's what the manager and staff will do and get us prepared right for it.
They are champions and they've won the lot and I don't know if it's going to be a good or bad time to pay them. But we are fully prepared and we have to fully respect them but also take our chances when we have opportunities and get after them."
