Everton’s interest in Troy Parrott has been growing for a while now.
Back in November, there were reports that the club had scouts keeping an eye on him during his time with the Republic of Ireland.
Parrott has enjoyed a standout year, scoring 24 goals for AZ Alkmaar and adding five more for Ireland, including a hat-trick against Hungary.
David Moyes is said to be focused on bringing in a striker, so it would not be surprising if Parrott moves back up the shortlist this summer.
There may be a good opportunity ahead as well, with reports indicating that his price tag has recently changed.
Troy Parrott given £15m price tag as Everton’s interest grows

Parrott was first valued at £31 million in January, but no club came close to matching that fee.
The club now appear to be hoping to cash in while his value is high and take advantage of the summer window by lowering their asking price.
Reports from Sportsboom now put Parrott’s asking price at just £15 million, making him a far more accessible option than before.
It remains to be seen whether that fee will be enough for Alkmaar to part ways with Parrott, but it could be worth making an opening offer around that figure.
The ex-Tottenham striker has also drawn interest from Fulham and Wolfsburg, so there are already a few teams looking at him this summer.
Some Everton supporters have raised doubts about whether he would be ready for the step up from the Eredivisie to the Premier League. They are not sure he is worth the risk just yet.
Moyes is not known for throwing young players straight into his line-ups either. It could take some time before Parrott would get a proper run even if he were signed.
Alongside Parrott, Raul Jimenez and Alexander Sorloth are reportedly on Everton’s radar. Both are older options who might fit Moyes’ style better in the short term.
