Everton are in advanced negotiations to sell the club to 777 Partners.

BBC Sport says majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri is on the brink of selling up to the American sports investment firm.

Everton lie 18th in the league after picking up just one point from their opening four games so far this season.

The Blues have turned to 777 after seeing a deal with MSP Capital fall through.

777 own several clubs across the world, including Italy's Genoa and Australia's Melbourne Victory.

Everton's cumulative losses over the past five years has reached more than 430m.
