Everton are making a move for Olympique Marseille striker Bamba Dieng.
Foot Mercato says Everton are on the hunt for more firepower as they begin the second half of the season in 19th place.
With a deal in place for Lorient striker Terem Moffi to join Marseille, Bamba Dieng is said to be heading in the other direction.
However, the Toffees are trying to hijack Lorient's move for Dieng in an effort to bring him to Goodison Park.
Everton are yet to make any major signings this month and they parted company with Frank Lampard on Monday.
