Everton have made a swap bid for Blackburn Rovers defender Scott Wharton.
Football Insider says Everton have offered Ellis Simms or Neal Maupay in exchange for the youngster.
Wharton made 28 first team appearances last season and also scored one goal.
Everton boss Sean Dyche is a fan of Wharton, who has a deal at Eswood Park to 2027.
The 25 year-old has spent his entire career tied to Rovers.
