Everton midfielder Dele Alli has suffered a setback in his bid to make a playing return.
The 27-year-old hasn't played in the Premier League for the Blues since August 2022.
After missing preseason due to a rehab stint in the US, Alli is now working towards full fitness and becoming available to manager Sean Dyche.
However, he has posted to social media in recent days to confirm a setback.
"Setback with the injury, but making sure I come back stronger than ever! #iam>iwas," he stated.
