Everton are in advanced talks to sign PSG midfielder Idrissa Gueye.

Gueye will be offered a short-term contract at Goodison Park, says the Daily Mail, with the midfielder set to undergo a medical.

His current deal at PSG runs out in 2023, opening up the possibility of a cut-price deal on Everton's side.

Gueye made 107 appearances for the Toffee's between 2016 and 2019, scoring four goals and adding five assists. His performances earned him a move to the French giants in 2019 where he has played 111 times across all competitions.

Everton are reportedly keen to bring in two midfielders this summer to strengthen a previously vulnerable midfield. Chelsea midfielder Billy Gilmour has also been linked with a move to Goodison as Lampard looks to utilise his Blues connections.
