Premier League side Everton hold some interest in Troyes striker Mama Balde.
Per Sky Sports journalist Alan Mayers, the Toffees are examining Balde as one of many options before the transfer window closes.
While Everton have signed Arnaut Danjuma and Youssef Chermiti this summer, they want more firepower up front.
The injury issues of Dominic Calvert-Lewin mean that a move for Balde may be possible.
Asked about the interest on social media by fans, Mayers said: "Some interest but not sure it's advanced."
The Toffees do have limited financial power, which means they may have to get creative in how they structure any deal.
