Everton are contemplating a winter transfer move for Villarreal forward Boulaye Dia.
The Toffees are aware they must strengthen their squad to push up the Premier League table.
Per Italian news outlet Tutto Salernitana, Everton want to secure Dia in January, even though he is not at Villarreal at present.
The attacker is currently on loan at Serie A club Salernitana for the whole season.
Everton are ready to pay €16 million, but Dia's exit from Salernitana would have to be negotiated by the player and Villarreal.
Salernitana have the option to sign Dia for €12 million during his loan spell.
