Despite financial difficulties and the threat of relegation, the Toffees are planning for next season.
Part of their assessment, per The Mirror, is whether to move for Hull's promising defender Jacob Greaves.
The 23-year-old has impressed sufficiently over the past couple of years, after an outstanding loan spell at Cheltenham in 2019/2020.
He has become a mainstay in the team for Hull, while he could be on the move in the summer.
Everton are looking at Greaves as a possible replacement for Jarrad Branthwaite, who is wanted by Manchester United and Tottenham.
