Everton winger Jack Harrison admits they felt they could've done more in defeat to Manchester City.

Everton had a halftime lead through Harrison, but City stormed back via goals from Phil Foden, Julian lvarez (p) and Bernardo Silva.

Harrison later said: "Yeah definitely (a missed opportunity), I think after the way we started the game - we started really well and were really organised. They are a great side so maintaining that for 90 minutes was always going to be difficult.

"Unfortunately today we messed up on a couple of things and that's costly against the best sides so we just have to be aware of that going forward.

"There's still a long season left. We can only control what we can do and keep going game by game. Everyone will be resting and recovering to prepare for the next game."

On scoring against his former club and speaking with Pep Guardiola afterwards, he added: "He's always been very nice with me and has a conversation with me. He's a great guy and one of the best managers. It's nice to get a goal against an old club but I'm grateful for my time there and will always have great memories."
